Library Centennial Wine Tasting this Friday

Sierra Madre Centennial Cuisine and Wine Tasting Fast Approaching
Time is growing short to buy tickets to Sierra Madre Library’s Centennial
Cuisine and Wine Tasting set for Friday, April 20, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the elegant Alverno Villa in Sierra Madre.

This gala occasion is the highlight of Sierra Madre’s Centennial season.
Tickets are $60 for a full evening of sipping, sampling, entertainment and conviviality and are available at the Sierra Madre Library, Savor the Flavor on Kersting Court and Arnold’s Frontier Hardware on Sierra Madre Boulevard.

Food and wine tables, placed throughout the Villa and under two giant heated tents on the lawn, will give guests ample space to roam, graze, sip and compare notes with friends. The event will feature a Silent Auction with gourmet restaurant dinners, theater tickets, get-away-weekends, sports memorabilia, signed art and special Centennial items are only a few of the exceptional items to be auctioned off. Music by classic Cellisimo will greet guests at the entrance. The historic Villa will be enhanced by floral arrangements provided by local
floral designers.

Wineries pouring a selection of their finest wines include: Avalon Winery,
Blue Jean Winery, Bogle Vineyards, Bridelwood Winery, Cristalino Sparkling Wines, Dancing Bull Winery, Fife Vineyards, Honig Vineyard & Winery, Uvaggio Di Giacomo Winery, Napa Valley Cal-Italian Wines, Lohr Winery Long , Vineyards, Lucero Vineyard & Winery, Maddalena Vineyard, Magnet Winery, Mirassou Winery, Premium Port Wines, Rancho Zabaco Winery, Rock Rabbitt Winery, San Simeon Vineyard, Santa Barbara Winery, Summers Winery, Vineyard Brands, Wine Of The Month Club, and Zaca Mesa.

Popular area restaurants will showcase their cuisine and offer a variety of
foods and beverages that will tempt the palate. Participating restaurants
include; Lucky Baldwin’s Delirium , Bristol Farms. Cafe 322, Chandra Thai, Claro’s Italian Market, Corfu, El Cholo, Green Street, Matt Denny’s Alehouse, Madeleine’s, Nano, Papa John’s, Pie ‘N Burger, Restaurant Lozano, Starbucks, Sweets Pastries and More, The Only Place in Town, Trader Joe’s, Village Pizzeria, Wildflower Baking Company, and Whole Foods.

All proceeds go to the Sierra Madre Library. The Friends of the Sierra Madre Library contribute $50,000 annually to children’s and adult’s programs, services and acquisitions for the collection.
