From the Sierra Madre Public Library:
“Summer Sleuthing at the Library,” Sierra Madre’s first Summer Reading Club for adults will start Monday, June 25, and run seven weeks, through Saturday, August 11. Adults from all communities are invited to stop by the Library Circulation Desk any time on or after June 25 to register for this free activity. Participants will receive program guidelines and a Mystery-themed Suggested Reading List (although reading choices are not limited to mystery/ detective novels). The first one-hundred people to register will receive a special program incentive.
Between June 25 and August 11, readers will record the print or audio book titles they have read on individual log slips, which will be entered in a weekly prize drawing. The more one reads, the greater one’s chances of winning. The prizes have been generously donated by local businesses, and include theater and movie tickets, gift baskets full of goodies and more! All slips will be automatically entered in a Grand Prize Drawing on August 12.
The Sierra Madre Public Library is located at 440 West Sierra Madre Boulevard in Sierra Madre. For further information on this program and other Library programs and services please visit the Library’s web site at www.sierramadre.lib.ca.us or call (626) 355-7186.
