June gloom is upon us and for some can be depressing. A good antidote is to
lose yourself in an engrossing book. You’ll find a lot to choose from at the
Friends Used Book Sale. Turn the TV remote to OFF, and instead, turn the pages
of a book to discover real action thrillers, adventure stories, mysteries,
biographies, historical novels and more.
The Friends operate the best used book store in the San Gabriel Valley. All
proceeds support the library.
Friends of the Sierra Madre Library will hold its June Best Used Book Sale on

adults, services and additions to the collection. Annually, the Friends
provide $50,000 for the Library operating budget helping to enhance the rich
