From Community & Personnel Services: There are two openings on the Community Arts Commission. “The Community Arts Commission is an advisory body to the Sierra Madre City Council. It meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. As a member you would serve as a communication link between the community, City Council and the Community & Personnel Services Director regarding arts and cultural items; help facilitate art programs; as well as support and encourage the arts for the benefit of the citizens of Sierra Madre. There are two vacancies is to fill, with terms ending June, 30, 2010. There are a number of exciting projects ahead during the next twelve months, including updating the Community Arts Database, improving the arts presence on the city’s website, completing the Cultural Arts Master Plan (CAMP), and much more.” For more information, read the full press release.
