

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting (more news about the meeting to follow soon on inSierraMadre.com) Mayor John Buchanan discussed the National Civic League’s recent All-America City Awards recently held in Anaheim. (Read the full press release here for more information about the award and names of the winners and finalists.)
Sierra Madre was a finalist in the contest, along with other California cities Salinas and Modesto. Sierra Madre was the only city in Southern California to make it to the finalist round.
There will be a reception to celebrate Sierra Madre’s special achievement on Tuesday, June 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in City Hall. Click to view the invitation.
