Get festive for the 4th: Live music & food Monday

Posted on Thursday 29 June 2006

To get the town in the holiday spirit, the Sierra Madre Fourth of July Committee has arranged for a fun evening of music, food and drink in Memorial Park on Monday, July 3.

Starting at 5 p.m., the beer garden will be open, along with food stands hosted by several nonprofit groups.

Also at 5 p.m., the evening’s entertainment starts with a concert by The Sheds. The band consists of three young brothers, Mac, 14, Evan, 13 and Morgan, 10, who formed a band about a year ago. They play classic rock tunes and their own original music.

The Sheds have appeared at the Wistaria Festival in Sierra Madre, Rock and Roll High in Calabasas, B. B. Kings’s Blues Club, Universal City Walk and in their Garage, nightly.
