Police Dept. to host Neighborhood Watch meeting

Posted on Monday 24 July 2006

Mark your calendars for this Neighborhood Watch meeting:

It’s going to be a hot, hot July evening, but on Thursday the 27th at 7 p.m. at the Youth Activities Center, 611 E. Sierra Madre Boulevard, the Sierra Madre Police Department will have a Community Neighborhood Watch meeting in the cool, cool YAC.

At the meeting you will be able to ask questions, get information on how to prevent burglaries and thefts, learn about current crime trends, understand your part in helping to report unusual activities in and around your neighborhood and receive many handouts with additional ideas for neighborhood safety.

Part of any great police department is the watchful eyes of each citizen who watches their neighborhood and reports any unusual activity immediately to the police department. There are some easy things that we will teach you and will talk about at this meeting.

This is a great time to come to the YAC, cool off, and get great helpful hints from the Police Department on how you can help the community and your neighborhood.

Mark your calendar — Thursday, July 27, 7 p.m., at the YAC.

For more information, please call Corporal Esther Doyle 355-1414.
