Tuesday, August 22, the Kiwanis Club of Sierra Madre will present an informative program about the dangers of allowing termites to live in houses and other wood structures.
Mr. Joe Vara, Jr., a termite and pest control expert with a local extermination company, will discuss the various types of termites, including a new highly voracious strain that poses an exceptional risk for homeowners.
The program will be at 12 noon, at the Masonic Hall in Sierra Madre, 33 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. Visitors are welcome, and should call Paul Neiby at 355-1291 for reservations.
