Centennial Gala tonight, Friday, February 23

The event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Villa del Sol on the Alverno High School Campus, 200 N. Michillinda Ave. Tickets are $50 and will be available at the door.

Centennial Celebration update

Sierra Madre’s Centennial Celebration continues to take shape.
The Civic Club and the Sierra Madre Rotary Club have each given seed money to the Sierra Madre Centennial Committee. Additionally, the committee boasts new members Kathy Childs, Rick Simpson, Hank Landsberg and City Council Member Joe Mosca.

Centennial Celebration banners on sale

February 23, 2007 is the centennial anniversary of Sierra Madre’s incorporation.
The Sierra Madre Centennial Celebration committee has announced the sale of commemorative banners that will line Sierra Madre’s streets in 2007.
The banners will have different pictures of historical scenes and will look like this:
